Architectural Plastics Turns Its Focus to Face Shields During the Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a feeling of helplessness for people around the country. Family and friends are working on the frontlines at hospitals, pharmacies, and other essential jobs and they do not have the safety equipment they need.

It’s for that exact reason that Blake Miremont, CEO of Architectural Plastics, re-tooled his whole shop to focus on making face shields for hospitals and other essential services.

There’s Still a High Demand for Face Shields, Especially in the Medical Field 

Before the pandemic, Architectural Plastics specialized in acrylic display cases for museums, product displays, high-end furniture, and high-end design and fabrication. However, Blake’s sister-in-law, who is a hospital administrator, and several friends on the front line informed Blake about the shortage of personal protective equipment available to them. Blake decided to do something about it.
